DRYNAN RECEIVES 96 VOTES. Tuesday's election passed off very quietly and there were no strenuous efforts made to get out the vote, as it was generally conceded that Mr. A. H. Diehl would be elected to council from the First ward. .Mr. Thomas Drynan, his opponent, who has been a candidate for council at each election for several years back, ran away ahead of his previous vote. In 1905, when running against Mr. W. E. Patton, he polled 60 votes, while in this contest he secured 96. Mr. S. G. Ritchey, for tax collector, received the largest vote polled, in the First ward, which was 303. There were several persons voted for whose names were written on the ticket. The Union Republican ticket had an easy victory on Tuesday at the municipal election, as the appended vote will show. Mr. James Booth will succeed himself in council and Mr. William Wardrop, and Mr. F. A. Russell, the former burgess, will succeed Messrs. McGullough and Lloyd. Mr. J. W. On last Saturday Lawrence Barkwill, the twelve-year old son of Mr. George F. Barkwill, of Gentennial avenue, while playing with 'some companions in Dickson*s stone quarry, near the cemetery,'fell over a cliff a distance of about twenty- five feet. He was cut about the head and face and considerably bruised, and was unconscious for a time. He was removed to his home and medical aid summoned. The lad, fortunately, was not seriously injured and is able to be about. Quite 111. Mrs. H. A. Wadding, of Straight street, is reported as being seriously ill at her home, suffering from a complication of ailments. Sewickley Valley Gun Club Holds Two Interesting Shoots This Week. The Sewickley Valley Gun Glub held two shoots this week at which some good records were made. The shoot on Monday was at 100 targets and several professional shots participated. On Washington's Birthday the cup shoot, at 50 birds, was won by W. S. Lang. This cup was donated by Mr. Joseph A. Knox and Frank Over. On Decoration Day there will be another, shoot for the above cup and a cup to be known as the "miss and out" cup, donated by F. L. McGready and W. P. McJunkin. Wilson Expires at Philadelphia Upon Hearing of D. S. Wilson's Demise. OTHER RECENT DEATHS. David Shields Wilson died Monday morning at his home in Leetsdale, and a few hours later his brother, John G. Wilson, died &\-' most without warning when the news reached him that his brother had passed away. Both died of heart disease, David S. Wilson having been in poor health for some time. Death to the other brother came from shock. The news was conveyed to John G. Wilson over the long distance telephone Monday morning and his death occurred soon after receipt of the nev/s. Monday morning when a member of the family of Robert K. Wilson knocked at the door of David Wil- "=** son's room there was no response. The door was forced, when Mr. Wilson was found dead in his bed. Dr. Robert Murray, when called, made a hasty examination, but his aid was too late. For some time past Mr. Wilson had been a great sufferer from heart trouble, and was under constant medical treatment. He retired from active business several years ago, and since then has made his home with his brother, Robert K. Wilson. Since 1875 Mr. Wilson has been a resident of Leetsdale, having moved there f~om Washington, Pa., where he was born. In the early sixties Mr. Wilson's wife died and left him childless.
