Scott asked per- lission to erect a storm door at the lOstoffice, which was granted. Dr. Lipp reminded council that b had promised to repair the side- valk on river avenue over a year ago. This brought up the old discussion regarding the grade- on Riverand Ghadwick avenues. The trouble is to get the property holders to agree upon a grade. Daniel Ghallis & Sons were requested to furnish bids for granolithic sidewalks. Gouncil thought it should be settled whether the granolithic paving ordinance was valid. A request was made to have the borough assign a lien in favor of D. W. Ghallis & Sons against a property holder on Bank street. The lien amounts to about $600, and the request was granted.- Mr. Hood protested against the macadamizing of Frederick avenue as he preferred brick. As the contract has already been let, nothing can be done. An ordinance providing for the construction of a sewer on Linden avenue from Grant street to Academy avenue passed first and second readings.
