You'll have to set it down Uncle, I've got my hands full; but I'm awful glad you came. Union Meeting. I. A physical and intellectual treat will be the third quarterly union meeting of the Knights of Pythias, to be held in the Gastle Hail of St. John Lodge No. 10, at Millvale, on Monday evening* March 11. A similar meeting was held in Sewickley last December, which was well attended, and it is earnestly urged that the local Knights turn out strong on March 11th. The Herald's Cartoonist. In this issue The Herald prints the first of a series of cartoons, the work of Mr, Joseph Heffern whom we take pleasure in introducing as a member of the staff of Sewickley's honle paper. MRS. ANN SMITH. Mrs Ann Smith aged 5.6, died Monday morning at her home, 761 Hill street, this place, after an illness of two weeks, at which time she sustained a paralytic stroKe, remaining unconscious to the end. She was a member of the Sewickley Methodist Episcopal church, and had- resided in this place for 97 years. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Harry and Percy and one sister, Mrs. B. A. McGon- nell. The funeral services were held at her late residence Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock. y Funeral of Mrs. Dravo. The home of the late Mrs. Myra- G.'Dravo, on the corner of Peebles and Thorn streets, was the scene of a very impressive funeral services on Monday afternoon. They were conducted by the Rev. George D. Grissman. At the request of her children he read the verses of a poem the deceased loved greatly, Tennyson's "Grossing of the Bar." This poem was also read at the funeral services of Mr. Gharles Davis, of Edgeworth, on Saturday last. Following Rev. Grissman, the Rev. J. J. Hill, spoke most feelingly of Mrs. Dravo's Ghristian traits, as he knew of these during his pas- torage of the M. E. church, of this place. The attendance of this noble woman's friends was very larger, and deep sorrow was manifested. The loved remains were' placed in the Sewickley cemetiry. Entertained Her Class. Mrs. W. J. Linsay, of Beaver street, entertained her Sunday School class at her home oh Beaver street, Thursday evening. &' very pleasant time was had and dainty refreshments were served. Among those present were the Misses. Gretchen and Hettie Rutt- kamp, Ada Swartz. Margaret Winters, Alice Dolan, Mary Wright, Lydia Brunt, Ellen Stinson and Nellie McCullough. awjfflanM.iwiMji'u 3 -ft
