Memorial Day will be observed in Sewickley "with the forty-eighth annual program of exercises under the auspices of the Grand Army of the Republic at the Soldiers' Monument in the afternoon. The special train bringing from the city the Pittsburgh organizations taking part will arrive about two o'clock, after which the parade will form on Broad street, marching to Beaver street, to Nevin avenue, to Hopkins street and so into the cemetery. The units forming the parade will be as follows: Rocereto's Band; the Washington Infantry; General Alexander Hays Post No. 3, G. A. R., preceded by its color bearers; Abe Patterson Post No. 88, G. A. R.; Davis Star Camp, Sons of Veterans; disabled veterans and choir in automobiles; soldiers of the Spanish-American War; Sewickley Valley Post No. 4, American Legion, with its band; several visiting posts of the American Legion; Walter Robison Post No. 450, American Legion, with its band; and Crispus Attueks Post No. 30, American Legion. At the cemetery, John O. Elsrode of Post 3, Commander of the Day, will make an address; C. H. William Ruhe of the same post will fulfill the duties of Adjutant General. The memorial address will be by Capt. Robert S. Cain, D. S. G, department commander of the United Spanish War Veterans. The singing will be led by a quartette consisting of Mrs. J. Sharp McDonald, soprano; John M. Williamson, tenor; Fred Albrecht, baritone; Charles Eaton, bass. During the services at the monument, a detail of the American Legion posts will strew the cut flowers on all the soldiers' graves. Col. John I, Nevin Camp No. 3, Sons of Veterans, will hold its service at the grave of Col. Nevin as Usual. Following the services at the cemetery* the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 4, will serve supper to the veterans in the Sewickley public school building on Broad street. In the evening a free band concert will be given at the Sewickley borough building by the Sewickley Valley post band. THE OR.OSS OF SACRIFICE The memorial erected by the CanacU lair government to the thousands of Americans who enlisted and died in tto. Oanadian regiments in the World War prior to the entry of the united States into the conflict. ^
