The picture was taken by James Pullman, Jr. ini))»»'p 3Ftftt) Annual Sewickle? iDog S^ow Many Entries in Charity Event With almost 450 entries filed, the Fifth Annual Dog Show given by the Sewickley Kennel Club, for the benefit of social service work of the Woman's Auxiliary of the Allegheny Gonoral Hospital, tomorrow from 10 a. m. until 6 p. m., in the show ring of the Allegheny Country Club, is expected to bo one of the best shows ever hold at tho local ring. Tho largest number of entries of individual broods aro in tho classes of Boston Bulls, OhowS and Terriers, reflecting tho recent popular' ity of tho smaller dogs. A number of Scaly hams have been entered by tho ttcnsnl Kennels of Detroit and both tho Sewickley Hunt Club and Westmoreland Hunt Club have ontorod packs of Foxhounds. Many clogs have boon entered from Hio konnols of Lewis A. Park, J. F. Bycrs, Mrs, Will J. Cavanagh, Dr. Mnit- land Alexander, with other individuals, both on tho Heights and in tho Valley, entering their pot dogs in one or more classes. A total of H7 special prizes, in addition to tho high ribbon awards, including silver cups for tho best of breed, will bo awarded by tho judges. A special cup will be awarded tho dog adjudged best in tho show by Fred Ford of Media, Pa., one of the judges. Other judges arc Mrs. A. W. Ocorr of Pittsford, N. Y.; C. Gill Watt of Greens- burg; James W. Trulingor of Harris- burg; E. T. Adair of Pittsburgh; and Charles G. Hopton of Now York City. Tho grounds about tho show ring will bo thronged with automobiles, parked in reserved spaces about the ring. Mrs, Alexander L. Robinson is in charge of tho lotting of parking space. The fortune telling booth, in charge of Miss Laura Evans, grab bags and colorful toy balloons and refreshment booths decorated in jnvenilo taste, are. a few of tho features arranged for children by Mrs. Lewis A, Park, general chairman. Luncheon will bo served in tho boxes by a committee of which Mrs. Robert Milligan is chairman. Miss Bertha Brooks and Miss Nancy Bycrs are in charge of serving ginger ale and other cold beverages. Officers of the Sewickley Kennel Club aro J. *F. Bycrs, president; Mrs. C. T. Shannon, secretary-treasurer; S. M. Simpson, superintendent; and E. M. Joel, show secretary. Mrs. W. C. Robinson is president of tho Woman's Auxiliary of tho Allegheny General Hospital; Mrs. C. I. Shannon is treasurer; and Mrs. George L, Collard is secretary. The bench show committee includes W. A. McElravy, chairman, Jack Quiff and Thomas Hosking. Fred Downs is chairman of the measuring committee, assisted by Charles E. Porter and Carl Reiss. Dr. Charles W. Boyd and Dr. S. E. Young arc veterinarians for the show. Assisting Mrs. Park on the general committee are Mrs. B, F, Jones lit, Mrs, Alexander Robinson, Mrs. Christian I, Shannon and Mrs. Herbert A. May, who is in charge of publicity. Mrs, B. F. Jones, Jr., Mrs. H. Leo Mason, Mrs. Carroll Davis and Mrs. George Hartou Singer, Jr., will act as aidos to Mrs. Millligan. Tho junior committee consists of Miss Jane Alldcr- dice, Miss Madolaino Alexander, Mrs. Genevieve Bell, Miss Priscilla Brown, Miss Elizabeth Childs, Miss Rebecca Doyle, Miss Evelyn Evans, Miss Laura Evans, Miss Mary Elizabeth Floyd, Miss Elhabeth George, Miss Margaret Holdnlapi Miss Marjorio Kimball, Miss Mary McClurg, Miss Cloctagh McCuno, Miss Louise Reed, Miss Mary Robinson, Miss Ann Rose, Miss Emily Stuart, Miss Virginia Willock and Miss Ruth Willock.
