Jones, Oharles Persun (prompter), Glenn Cope, Lowell W'. Nicols, coach and director. Seated: Sidney Barto, Mrs. Adele B. Day, Dr. W. C. Martin, Miss Elizabeth H. Long, Miss Sara Nash. ntUttM) The gniff, "close," small - town father, the pleasant mother, the two well-satisfied sisters, one of them married—and the bright, talented young sister just home from N-ew York; the ,. very eligible lover, not too young, and lastly, the handsome young plumber who lias decided to marry "tlio girl who wrote that book" inspired by tho book itself, which says a really determined young man can get whatever he goes after. There is surely material for an intriguing sequence of ridiculous situations, full of unexpectedness and fun; and such is the kind of play one sees in "Kempy," the successful farce-comedy which is to bo given next Thursday and Friday evenings in the Sewickley high school hall, under the auspices of the Kiwanis Club of Sewickley for tho purpose of refurnishing ono of the rooms at the Sewickley Y. At. 0. A. building. Such a play requires good acting, carefully staged and well rehearsed, and this group of Sewickley dramatic artists is resolved to give a thoroughly adequate presentation. Intensive rehearsing has been done under the coaching of Lowell Nicols, and the play should go through with sparkling snap and zest. Between the acts there are to be some very pretty dancing numbers. A septet from St. Stephen's Ohurch Girls' Club is to give a most attractive tap- dance like the one given last year at the Parish House cabaret; in this the participants will be the Misses Crystal Prey, Ann Grattan, Alice Grattan, Marghretta Luty, Bessie Anderson, Kathryn Brownhill and Geneva Lobach; this dance is to the music of "Walking My Baby Back Home." Another dance will bo that of the tap-dancing class of the Y. M. C. A., directed by Miss Dorothy Hoy, Girls' Secretary; in it will appear the Misses Dorothy Ohlman, Jean Emmert, Lucinda Riggs, Alice Davis, Mary Roach, Helen Carroll, Eileen Hite and Sue Trudell; in this Betty Rogers and John Scott have a duet specialty dance. A comedy acrobatic act will be presented by Harry Day, James Lowrie, Gordon McCormick and Charles Johnson, which should be worth seeing. And there is to be a men's quartet under the leadership of Kiwanian W. F. Holthaus that will be worth hearing. The other members of the quartet are Russell Hayes, Stanley Fowler and Hector Wolfe. For the Kiwanis Club, J. D. C. Miller is general chairman fov the evening's entertainment, with Henry Goodband as ticket chairman and R. D. Ritchey in charge of the program committee.
