Undor presont law none but a judicial candidate can bo included on tho printed ballot for more than ono party, which fact has caused a good deal of trouble for candidates who formerly tried to got on as many party ticlcots as possible; and in particular it makes tho raco for county commissioner, tho most locally important this vear, a rathor curious scramble, sinco the law provides that only two of tho throo commissioners can bo nominated by tho party securing tho highest number of votes, tho third boing chosen by tlio next highest party. So tho November election may result in choosing two Republicans and a Democrat, two Democrats and a Bepublican, or two of cither of theso parties and ono "Independent." 'rho lattor possibility is tho reliance of Col. Charles 0. MeGovern, who has declined to seek cither of the major party nominations, and whom most of thoso in this Valley wo believe would like to see reelected in. Novombor. Leading aspirants for tho Republican nominations are Malone, Topley and Coyne; of these, Mr. Topley alono is from outsido the city of Pittsburgh, and with his good record in office will make a special appeal to non-city voters—and he'll need all tho votes ho can get in the boroughs and townships to offset tho probable heavy city vote for his opponents; indeed, many of his adherents think it advisablo to "plump" for him, voting for him alone instead of for two candidates. Of tho othors, Mr. Malono has been a good man in -Pittsburgh's city council; Senator Ooyno points to his record in fighting Democratic policies in the recent legislature, which may get him votes oven from those who do not approve of somo of his affiliations or machine methods. Heinz, Houlahen, Kano and Rankin are the Democratic aspirants considered to have chances of success. Their respoctivo claims for consideration havo boon quito bitterly set forth in thc Pittsburgh papers, and need not be considered hero. Many of tho other judicial and county offices, and especially the question of having Pennsylvania's constitution revised, aro woll worth careful thought and intelligent voting, as well as the places to bo filled in the several local boroughs. It's well worth the while of every citizen to inform himself, and then, abovo all, to vote next Tuesday. In such an election, every vote is important. Voto as you please —but vote.
