Scout Commissioner 'Jim' Williams has arranged an interesting program for next week. On Sunday, February 6th, a special Scout church service will be held at 7:45 p. m< in St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Bev. Louis M. Hirshson, of St. Stephen's Church, will preach the sermon. All Scouts having uniforms aro roquostod to wwir them and to bo present at tho church by 7:30 p. m. That same morning special reservations aro being made at the. eleven o'clock mass at St. Paul's Cathedral, Pittsburgh, for Catholic Scouts; Bishop Hugh C. Boylo will preach the sermon. Under tho direction of Kirk Stroh, a Board of Review will be held' on Monday ovoning at 7:30 in tho Scout headquarters in tho Sewickley United Presbyterian Church. If the cold weather holds out, a skating party will be held the ovening of Friday, February ilth, on the pond at Camp Umbstacttcr. It is rumored that Scoutmaster Jim Williams also will have a surprise for the boys that same evening. Tho largest event on the week's program will take placo on Saturday afternoon, February 12th, at tho Sowickloy Y.M.C.A. All the Scouts from tlio seven Troops in tho Sewickley Valley District will gather at one o'clock for tho formal rededication to tho Scout Oath, which is ono of tho important events of Anniversary Week. Following this will bo a short talk by Rev. C. 0. Dufford of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The rest of tho afternoon will see a big Scout rally and games, including basketball, table tennis, pool, checkers, and' swimming events, winding up with a general swim for all. On Monday evening, February 14th, a Court of Honor will bo held in tho auditorium of tho Edgeworth Sehool, at 7:30. Awards will bo made for advancement in Scouting at that time. The feature of tho evening will bo a talk on the camping and outdoor program for tho coming year by Associate Scout Exeeutivo V. L. ('Red') Hunts- bcrgor, who has charge of tho three. Scout camps oporatod by tho Allegheny County Council of the Boy Scouts of America. After tho Court of Honor, Mr. Huntsbergcr will remain for a conference with the Scoutmasters of this District and also those from tho Coraopolis area. All during next week an interesting display of camping equipment, bird houses and outdoor articles raado by Scouts will bo on display in ono of tho store windows on Beaver Streot. Any Scouts having articles for this exhibit are requested to deliver thorn to 'Bob' Kleindienst at his bakery, not later than Saturday afternoon, February 5. Mr. Kloindionst is in charge of this exhibit, and already has many articles of great interest. Troop flags aro especially desired. ■Mm*
