TO UNVEIL HONOR ROLL A Short Service Planned for Sunday Afternoon The Sewiekley Valley Honor Koll has been erected on the landscaped lot at the corner of Beaver and Broad Streets, and is to be formally unveiled and dedicated at a religious and patriotic service next Sunday afternoon beginning at 2:30. It is planned that the Sewickley High School band will lead a procession of participants, visiting service units and guests up Broad Street from the Legion headquarters to the site, where the service is to take place. There will be chairs for the honor guests, and the burgesses and representatives of the several boroughs and townships of the territory included in the Roll — Edgeworth, Osborne, Sewickley Heights, Haysville, Glenfield, and Aleppo. There will be chairs for the participants and guests and for older persons present; and traffic will be detoured from this corner during the service. As planned, the National Anthem will be followed by an invocation by Rev. Henry R. Browne of Shields; Julian Williams and a chorus of church choirs will lead the audience in "America" and several war songs; an address by Rev. Louis M. Hirshson, and then presentation of the Honor Roll by John C. Hiteshew, chairman of tlie Sewickley Civilian Defense Council; acceptance by Burgess Charles A. Woods of Sewickley; and the formal unveiling by Rev. Lockhart Amerman of the Defense Council and a delegation of service men. In case of bad weather, the program will be cancelled except for the actual unveiling. The names included on the Honor Roll have been carefully listed by the committee in charge. Charles H. Baton, chairman, with the help of several weeks' publication in The Herald and the corrections and additions received from week to week. It can hardly be hoped that it is even yet complete up to this date, and other names will of course be added as time goes on; information should be sent to Mr. Eaton at his home, 720 Maple Lane, or in care of The Herald, to be placed before the committee for approval at its next meeting. As planned by the committee, it is desired to include all names of men actually in active service with the II. S.. armed forces, who are or have been residents of the territory served by Sewiekley High School or who have mother, father or other close relative living in that territory. I'1, fi
