A highlight of this year's show will be the second competition for tho Stonedale cup, which was set up last year by A. M. Byers in memory of Malcolm MeGiffin and his hunter, Stonedale. Miss Katherine Louise Taylor took down the first leg on the cup at the Boiling Eock Hunter Trials last September. For tho first time tho valuable trophies will be on public exhibition this year, and luncheon will be served on the horse show grounds each day. Cl. Robinson, Jr., and tho hospital committee, headed, iby Mr. J. 0. Flower. Known to all followers of the ring sport, Miss Laula Long Combs of Kansas City, Missouri has entered twelve of her prize winning ponies, her first appearance at the Sewickley show. Her ponios won many honors at the Devon show, which just closed, Adrian Van Sindoren of Washing ton, Connecticut, president of the American Horse Show xVssoeiation, has his valuable hackney ponies on the scene, seven of them to compete with those of Miss Long and Mrs. AV. P. Roth, owner of the fampus Why Worry Farm in California. Mrs. Roth, who for a number of years exhibited the famous Sweetheart on Parade, has entered twelve horses which have just completed a successful invasion of the East. One of the most colorful stables in the United States, the Pinehurst Stable owned by Mr. and Mrs. 10. W. Brown, Jr., Orange, Texas has sent twelve prize winning hackney ponies to Sewickley and the famous Dixinna Stables in Lexington, Kentucky will be represented as will Miss Mary V. Fisher of Detroit.
