Tho only monster of horror ever to make a siasy of Frankenstein will Ibe in Sewickley this week. Yes, you have guessed who it is—none other than "Tho Cat" of the play. "Tho .Cat and Tho Canary." His horrible actions 'chilled and thrilled Broadway audiences for years, and ho is not likely to allow 'his stay in Sowickloy to be a peaceful one. At least two nights will soc tho "Cat" continue the rampage ho has been on, for the play in which ho takes a major part is to bo presented at the high, school auditorium this evening (Thursday) and tomorrow. The sotting of the play is an eerio mansion in the Louisiana bayous which has boen almost deserted for twenty years. Only a housekeeper remained there from tlio time tho master died until an heir was named by th6 reading of his will. Everything wont well until the "Cat" became interested in tho happenings. Ho proceeded to make things lively and carried out his work in such a way that no ono was able to got a glimpse of him. Tlio action of (he play takes place in two scones—library and bedroom. Bach set has a. number of cleverly concealed trap doors which onoiblcs the' action to roach a high pinnacle of excitement both for thc cast and the audience. Follow the hero in his many attempt- to trap the "Cat" and thrill with the heroine as attempts are made to kill her.'1 Can you imagine a six-foot strong- arm man coming into your home and informing you that ho is hunting for a newly escaped lunatic and that he suspects the missing killer is hiding on your property. How would you react? If you put yourself in that situation you would be in thc same predicament as tho heirs. Sewickley High School has always had good plays and this one is uo exception. However, "The Cat and The Canary" differs from other recent play- in that it is entirely a mystery thriller. The only play that can compare with it is "Tiger House," which was presented several years ago. Nevertheless thc tiger can not be compared with the villain of our play, Tn the role of heirs there are Ruth AValker, Geraldine Campbell, Marion Harrison, Max Maust, Alex Taylor, and Glenn Beitel. Albert Von Hofen is the lawyer and close friend of the deceased. Cyrus West, whose faithful servant is portrayed by Bessie Heniwood. Tho head guard at the insane asylum is played by James Wharrey and Eonald Macqueen is the doctor. Tho play will be presented tonight and tomorrow, Thursday and Friday, at 8:15. In the scene posed above (the Beading of the Will) are seen, standing, Ronald Macqueen, Kvelyn Scott, Max Maust, Bessie Henwood, Albert Von Hofen and James Wharrey. Seated in front are Alexander Taylor, Geraldine Campbell, Marion Harrison, Ruth Walker and Glenn Beitel. Where is "The Cat?" That's for you to iind out!
