QV budget OK'dwith lower tax increase by TOM McCEE Taxpayers in the Quaker Valley School District will see a smaller millage increase than initially expected. The board approved a nearly $45 million budget last week by an 8-1 vote. It sets the tax rate at 17.3232 mills, an increase of 0.1684 of a mill. Board member Marianne Wagner, saying she was keeping a promise to never vote for a tax increase, voted "no." A homeowner with a property assessed at $260,000 will pay $44 more in taxes for the 2015-16 school year.
