The budget lowers taxes from 6.5 mills to 6.25 mills. That means a homeowner whose property is assessed at $178,900 — the median Sewickley property value, according to Allegheny County records — would pay about $1,118. That figure is down slightly from about $1,163 in taxes this year. Over the course of the day, sport stackers from around the globe participated in the event. This is the third year the Sewickley Academy community participated. Results were not immediately available. Ahlburg was in town visiting her sister, Monica Lynn's, World Language classes at the middle school. For more photos, visit yoursewickley.com.
