STAFF WRITER For Old Economy Village supporters, the good news is that the national historic facility’s three traditional Christmas events will still be held. That’s little consolation . for Patty Clendennen, who’s volunteered for more than 25 years at Old Economy Village in Ambridge—a state-run historical site that, last week, closed following a 43-percent • cut in the budget for the Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission. The facility’s last day was Friday. Nine employees were laid off Friday at the site. “I’m very worried about this place,” Clendennen said. “We’re more than a museum.
