Shoppers given incentive to stay local by Bobby CHERRY STAFF WRITER It takes a village. „ That's the motto Kathleen Wycoff wants Sewickley cus-. tomers to remember when shopping in the town's business district. The new “It Takes a Village” initiative that Wycoff and others recently started . focuses on giving shoppers incentives to visit other Sewickley shops. Already involved in the concept and offering discounted merchandise are Penguin Bookshop, Perfect, the Sewickley Bead Co. and local massage therapist Gina Mercurio. Yoga in Sewickley also offers a free yoga class to new members, said Wycoff, who organized the town's Light Up Night festivities several years ago. The program gives shoppers discounts for buying at local stores.
