Officer'ViHella went to 238 Walnut Street, but couldn’t catch the dog, so he. advised headquarters to call Ani-nial Rescue. Sergeant Bertil Neely reported that the dog was owned by .. Mrs. O. L. Schlumpf of 216 Frederick Avenue, who told him that the dog had gotten out of the house and ;she' was looking for it. She offered to pay the medical expenses of the two girls, whose names were not recorded in the police files. , those who have filed applications will be eligible for permanent positions in the borough. A bill for repairs to a fire hydrant fpr $40 was tabled pending investigation into the identity of the, perTOn ordering the repairs made. The present permanent borough employees were' continued in their positions. Mrs, Groh, who was given another vote bf thanks for her work as secretary, will be retained for a month in an advisory capacity to help Mrs* Frances Brisbin, the nev^ secretary, get started.
