There is no admission charge and the general public is invited to attend this Audubon Screen Tour, program. Retracing the journeys of some of the great explorers of the New World; reliving the landings of Columbus, Ponce de Leon, Cabrillo and Bering, Laurel Reynolds and Mindy Willis, co-author, have filmed iu color the wild nature of the places they have visited. It is a rediscovery of many of the same wonders of this hemisphere that early navigators looked upon with awe so many years ago — brilliant, semi-tropical birds of the Caribbean islands and the Florida peninsula . . . Texas coastal wildlife . . elephant seals in island coves near the Sea of Cortez . . . whales sounding , and leaping in remote lagoons . '. . sea otters miraculously restored from near extinction . . . and Alaska, our last frontier, where bears still fish for salmon. In some areas the co-producers have found the wilderness remarkably unchanged from the way it must have looked to the 15th and 16th century explorers. In others, as at Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles, (Continued on Page 24) Nixon'Wins In Sewickley By 751 Votes Aleppo Township Votes 185 to 111 For Change To First Class Township A total of 2,965 voters, including absentee voters, cast their ballots in Tuesday’s election in Sewickley, compared with 2,968 in 1956 and 3,285 in 1952. Partly as a result, the Nixon-Lodge ticket carried in Sewickley by only 751. The unofficial vote was Nixon-Lodge 1,814 and Kennedy-Johnson, 1063. Despite that showing in the presidential race, Sewickley Valley’s representative in the 29th District in the House, Robert J. Corbett, was re-elected. The team of four Representatives in the State House was also re-elected. Alppo Township voters gave approval of the change to a first class township by a vote of 185 yes, and 111 no. Unofficial returns from 195 out-of the 196 districts in the 17th district gave Dougherty, D., 56,627; Vidra, D., 49,819; Geddis, D„ 49,770; Mc-Geown, D„ 51,583; Wilt, R., 63,246; Agnew, R., 63,676; Donaldson, R., 63,836 and L. V. Gibb, Republican, of Sewickley, 63,070. In Sunday’s Press, a Press staff reporter published the results of his house-to-house poll of Haysville, the tiniest borough in the County. He counted 47 -votes for Nixon and 21 for Kennedy. The election results were close, 42 for Nixon and 25 for Kennedy. David Fineman, the Press reporter, acoompanied tire article with, a picture showing seven houses, which he called one-fourth of Haysville which he described as a 'scratch on the map-between Glenfield and Sewickley. (Ed. Note. Apparently lie never heard of Osborne Borough, which is ‘between Haysville and Sewickley.)
