Old Economy could reopen by April 16 By Bobby Cherry STAFF WRITER- By mid-April, Old Economy Village personnel will return to telling the stories of the Harmonist society that once called Ambridge home. At least that’s what Friends of Old Economy and the group’s president, Kevin Flannery, are hoping. “We are prepared to move forward,” Flannery said. “We are ready to go.” The plan is to reopen the site April 16 for weekends only through October. The volunteer group will hear by next week if state officials have approved the request, said state Rep. Rob Matzie, D-Ambridge.
