First-grade students in Edgeworth and Osborne Elementary schools participated in rotations to teach them about people with disabilities as part of a "Laps for Love" event at the school. about living with disabilities By Kristina Serafini STAFF WRITER Quaker Valley elemen- . tary school studentsreceived a valuable life lesson last week as they participated in activities designed to simulate various disabilities such as autism, blindness, hearing impairments and physical handicaps. QV SCHOOLS First-graders used walkers to move down the hallways of Edgeworth Elementary, wheeled classmates in wheelchairs, read Braille and took part in exercises that depicted the minds of , people with learning disabilities during a series of 30-minute rotations over the span of the week.
