The 5-4 decision from the board came after a lengthy public hearing was held Monday to determine if zoning at 327 Beaver St. should be changed from R-1A (residential) to C-l (commercial) to allow a local chiropractor to move his practice there. Dr. Jim McFadden, whose . office is located at 515 Locust Place, had hopes to purchase the house from its current owners, Valley Care Association, renovate it and move his chiropractic office to the new location.
