Residents call for investigation of council actions

Some Leetsdale residents frustrated with the way council members conduct business are asking the Allegheny County District Attorney and the state Ethics Commission to investigate.
“We have a situation here where the voters of our borough have placed their trust in our elected officials,” said Linda Michael, a Leetsdale resident, who along with other citizens, is accusing council members of ethical and civil issues.
“As individual citizens, we have failed to adequately monitor the actions of our elected officials, and furthermore, have failed to read and follow up on the management letters issued by our outside auditors, which noted some of these irregularities.”
