Creese was officially sworn in by Mayor JohnC. Oliver Jr. at the regular monthly meeting of Edgeworth Borough Council. Following the reading ofthe oath of office, council members rose to their feet with applause. Creese is a veteran of 21 on the borough’s force. Cleese was and raised in Cor-aopoHs but. has lived in Ellsworth for the past it years with Ms wife, Mary; and seven children, all of whom have attended the Quaker Valley schools. Creese is active in community affairs, the local Kiwanis Club. years Dorn i Council president Frank C. Schroeder congratulated Mayor Oliver on his presence at the meeting after Ms lengthy disability. The mayor has been hospitalised on several occasions this past years due ■to a Mp difficulties. The hiring of two tem-porary part-time police officers was approved. Officers Timothy Golletti and Joseph Pdino, both working as part-time officers for Aleppo TownsMp, will be hired by Edgeworth “to fill in the gaps in the schedule until the borough hires two new full time of-said Doug Arndt, tingent upon the owners, CFG Partnership, Woodland Road, Sewiddey, adhering to conditions outlined ^y the borough planning commission. The property, which runs near Little Sewickley Creek Road in anR-4 zone, consists of 46 “and a fraction” acres. On Tuesday, Dec. 15,'at 7:30 p.m.,a public hearing on the borough budget will be held in the borough building.
