A remedy drama, was written by Ban-las Campbell, and ii is considered his great master piece. It tells the story of an adventuress who tries to separate a young married couple so that she can marry the young millionaire The voting wife is of a very jealous disposition. The scenes between the two women are very thrilling and interesting. The deserted husband of the adventuress turns up at the proper time and spoils the plans of his plotting wife. The comedy element is very strong. A broken down manager of a Historical and Anatomical museum, and a novel reading, romantic parlor maid. These two characters keep the audience laughing between the scenes of pathos and sentiment. This play is being given l'or the benefit of the Citizens Band, who have made arrangements with ('has. Payne to direct the production. The various characters are to be taken by the young folks of our city It will be given at. the Opera House In the course of the next two weeks. Seats, 25. "5 and 50 cents. Within the next ten days "The Young Wife," a charming comedy drama, will be produced ill the Mahoning Street Opera llouse by home talent for the benefit of the Citizens Hand. As the organization is about $ CO in debt yet for their uniforms and music supplies it should be a pleasure to the citizens of Punxysutawnex lo turn out on this occasion and assist the band in wiping out tills obligation which will soon be due. The organization has labored faithfully to become a credit to the town and the distinct success which the band has made entitles It to the hearty patronage of the citizens of this community. Murray & Jordan. While picking berries along the road about two miles south of tills place yesterday. Court Hoover was attacked by a monster groundhog. Being unarmed Mr. Hoover lied to a farm house and secured a crowbar with which he returned and renewed the battle. After a fierce struggle of about :!(>. minutes, during which the fortunes of the coplest favored first one and theh the other of the belligerants. Mr. Hpover finally aimed a blow which oflURht the woodchuek over the left eye and put him out of the tight. Mr. Hoover lashed the woodchuek to his organ dray and brought him to town. The wagon with the woodchuck on It was driven onto a pair of Knlrbank's Rcnles and upon weighing the vehicle after the huge beast had been removed it was found that the groundhog weighed exactly 32 pounds.
