One night la;t week the burn of II. F. McCullougti, of Canoe township, was entered and a valuable colt slashed. The injuries are very serious, but the animal may recover. McCracken, who left here nearly three weeks ago on a business trip to Tennesee, has returned. He reports the trip as having been a very pleasant one. A large number of the commissions of Justices of the Peace and Constables elected at the spring elections were lifted last week and bonds tiled. Brookvilie Lodge No. 217, I. O. O.
