Mrs. AUgeier was milking a oow that became restless on aooount of the flies. Mr. AUgeier threw a fly sheet oyer the animal thinking thereby to afford her relief from the peats. Inst sad of whloh the oow became frantic, kicking Mr. AUgeier, throwing him down and tramping npon him. Had It not been for William Byerly, an employe, who was nearby, and eame to the rescue, thsrs is no doubt that Mr. AUgeier would have been killed. When he was extricated from his perilous position and removed to the house it was fonnd that one of his legs had been broken in two plaoae below the knee. Besides this he was otherwise severely braised and shaken np. Medical aid was promptly oaUed and the fractures reduced, since which time he has been resting easily and seems to begetting along as nloely under the clroumstanoee as hit physician could wish for.
