The striking part of the town clock has been somewhat erratic of l ie, causing much comment on the part of our citizens who prided themselves on ha\ ing a pretty | good article of town clock. The running part seems to be nil right, but the riking part does not perform its part for sometimes a week at a stre|h. It is hoped | that those having the matter in cmirge I will endeavor to make both parts go alike. Mrs. Sarah E. Kimball, having disposed of her real and personal property in Brookville, will leave on Wednesday morning for Armstrong county, where she will visit relatives before leaving for the West, where she will make her future home. A long distance shooting match took place last Friday afternoon. The range was 800 yards. Among those taking part were C. Z. Gordon, A. Bonnett, D. G. Gourley, H. If. Kennedy and Darah Corbett. Owing to a heavy rain storm the match was not ilnished. The Dancing Club gave a dance in Pearsail's hall Monday evening. The Italian band furnished the music and a large crowd was in attendence. The dance was gotten up merely for an evening's amusement, no refreshments being served. Interesting Items From the Jefferson Count j Capital. George G.
