The oage went to the top of the tipple rapidly, and there the rope broke, dropping the oage and mea to the bottom of the abaft. The shaft la 500 feet deep the tipple 100 feet above the month of the ahaft. Men rushed Into the mines to find the three anfortnnate men mangled corpses, they being Instantly killed. Clark was married and leaves » wife and two ohildren. The other two men were aingle. Bystanders who saw what was wrong yelled to Fuehrer, bnt he is rather deaf and did not hear them. It will provide for three road overseen in eaoh township,who shall have the power to levy taxes for joad purposes and oolleot them; to appoint pathmasters, who shall see to the working and improving of the nads, and to have general oharge of them. The overseer shall also have power to establish the wages of thoee persons who do work on the roads, and shall pay farmer the same rates other laborers an paid, and give them no advantage in the matter of discharging their taxes. Part of the stolen goods wen fonnd in O'Brien'e posssssion. Friday night the ofBoer at arted with O'Brin for Dallas for safe keeping. While Moon waa buying a cigar at the dt pot a masked mob of a dozen men oaptureu the prisoner oarrled him to Elm Tree Park, a quarter of a mile distant, and strung him to a tree. Moon reached the soene and out the npe just in time to save O'Briens life. Moon waa soon overpowered. Part of the mob held the offioer while the othen took O'Brien some distance and again strung him up. Moon finally freed himself and with a nvolver in either hand advanoed on the lynohers and again cut O'Brien down. Both partiee then opened fire and several of the mob wen wonnded.
