Pettrs. Foster C. HUlegass and Raymond K. Mensch. The raises, ranging from SCO to $300 ii year, and representing an onr-all hike of between six and seven percent, were decided upon ut a meeting oi the salary board and d conference with row office holders and judges of the common pleas and orphans' courts. The Increase affects all county employes with the exceptolon of the prison staff and certain workers at other institutions whose maintenance Is Included In the compensation they receive. It was explained that the trustees of the prison regulate salar- :iut institution on money appropriated by the county. The Increases for salaried employ-es were made retroactive to March 16 of this year when raises were granted to all workers making less than $2.B00 a year. Day workers at the court house and employes who work by the hour, mostly in the highway department, will benefit by the incres-ses voted today. A "cost nf living" salary Increase
for approximately 5M employes of
Montgomery county was announced
this afternoon by County CommLs-
MOMITS Fred C. Pettrs. Foster C.
HUlegass and Raymond K. Mensch.
The raises, ranging from SCO to
$300 ii year, and representing an
onr-all hike of between six and
seven percent, were decided upon ut
a meeting oi the salary board and
d conference with row office holders
and judges of the common pleas and
orphans' courts.
The Increase affects all county
employes with the exceptolon of the
prison staff and certain workers at
other institutions whose maintenance
Is Included In the compensation they
receive. It was explained that the
trustees of the prison regulate salar-
:iut institution on money
appropriated by the county.
The Increases for salaried employ-es
were made retroactive to March
16 of this year when raises were
granted to all workers making less
than $2.B00 a year.
Day workers at the court house
and employes who work by the hour,
mostly in the highway department,
will benefit by the incres-ses voted
today. The per diem rate was rais-ed
Horn 1575 to 16.00. while the
base pay for road employe* was
raised three to 10 cents an hour
