PRICE: THREE CENTS West Borough Tax Collection Being Delayed Unit* For 1946 Tax Not Yet Reported To Town Council Taxes were one of the chief topics of discussion at the Julv meeting of West Conshohocken town council held last evening in the borough building Collection of the 1946 borough duplicate has been completed by Tax Collector Aubrev Holland and Uens filed against the properties where the taxes remained unpaui as of May 1st. At present a report of the amount of liens filed has not bee made to town council. The du-plicate is still unsettled and until settlement of the 1946 duplicate Is made the 1947 duplicate cannot be turned over for collection The 1947 duplicate has been ready since the early part of May to be turned over to the tax collec-tor for collection Bills should have been mailed to every taxpayer in the West Borough on July 1st The bills have not yet been printed, and it will require several weeks after the duplicate is turned over for collection before bills can be made out and mailed. Town rounctl has already bor-rowed $4000 from the bank in ordei to pay current expenses, and it will be neceaiarv to borrow additional motley until the collection taxes belt ins. Special Meeting (ailed The secretarv was instructed to ask the tax collector to be present at a special meeting of council on July 14 to discuss the 1848 and 1947 tax duplicates. Taxes were one of the chief topics
of discussion at the Julv meeting of
West Conshohocken town council
held last evening in the borough
building
Collection of the 1946 borough
duplicate has been completed by
Tax Collector Aubrev Holland and
Uens filed against the properties
where the taxes remained unpaui
as of May 1st. At present a report
of the amount of liens filed has not
bee made to town council. The du-plicate
is still unsettled and until
settlement of the 1946 duplicate Is
made the 1947 duplicate cannot be
turned over for collection
The 1947 duplicate has been
ready since the early part of May
to be turned over to the tax collec-tor
for collection Bills should have
been mailed to every taxpayer in
the West Borough on July 1st The
bills have not yet been printed, and
it will require several weeks after
the duplicate is turned over for
collection before bills can be made
out and mailed.
Town rounctl has already bor-rowed
$4000 from the bank in ordei
to pay current expenses, and it will
be neceaiarv to borrow additional
motley until the collection taxes
