hi FROM ONE SPORTSMAN To ANOTHER There is a brotherhood of Sportsmen—a fraternal feeling among those who love the Open—alclean, healthy spirit common to all of us who like to breathe the balsam of the pines or gaze into the silent depths of the trout pool. And this is a message from one Sportsman to another, regarding the selection and purchase of sporting equipment. It outlines our creed, our policy, tor I want you to know that buying sporting goods by means of this catalog is identically the same as buying in our store. The policy of our house is to make every customer a satisfied customer—in fact, I go further, I want the friendship of everyone who purchases from us—no matter whether it be a dozen hooks or a $1000. gun. Therefore, m y one purpose is to please those who place their confidence in us—I try to give them in return, a little more than they expect. That is one reason why we have become "The Greatest Sporting Goods Store in the World." It is a simple matter for a customer who lives in N ew York City to get the full benefit of our store, our service and our policy. I want to assure you who live at a distance, that it is just as easy to get the same service by ordering through the mails as though you visited our store and I shall make it m y personal business to see that you get that service. Our success in business is due to the confidence that our customers place in us and the service wc render them. ,-"" If you should ever feel dissatisfied in any respect, I ask as a favor that you write me personally. If the service we give you is not all you think it ought to be, if the quality or wear of goods purchased, does not meet your expectation, or if you find that what you get is not what you thought it would be, write me and I'll see that you are satisfied. This is the service we render our customers in the store and it is the same service we will give you when you order by mail. Our first aim in the manufacture and selection of all goods, is to be sure that the idea is right, that the article will work right and that the quality will be beyond question. Our next aim is to sell these goods at as low a price as possible. W e know the things that are needed for outdoor life and we know the material that is best for the purpose. The result is, that you will get maximum service and satisfaction from every article purchased. You get an article made by sportsmen for sportsmen. If you deal with this house, I want you to be satisfied and I tell you that if you are not, it will be your own fault. W e have built up a great business and a profitable one by following this policy.
