Bellwood high played a series of nine regular games, and of the*e nine games they won five, lost two and tied two. Au exbi bition game was played with Juniata college, which Bellwood lost by a score ot 20 to 0. This was the only time during tbe en- tine season tbat Bellwood high received a "goose egg." In another game Bellwood high won from the Fifth Ward team of AI toona by a 1 0 score, because ot Fifth Wsrd not showing up tbe day ot the game. In another contest with tbe Millville Juniors, Bellwood high got a 12 0 score, when Millville walked off tbe field, forfeiting the g.inie to Bull- wood by o I o. The game lasted but eight minutes. In all these ten game* played, including tbat with Juniata college, the Bellwood team scored a total ot 100 points to the opponents' 5, and because of this remarkable record Bellwood high lays cliira to the high school championship title of Blair coua* ty. November is alwasvs a good month in the marriage license department on account ot Thanksgiving, during whicn season many marriages are perfoamed. Tbe year 1920 was.a reoord breaker for the month of November, with 117 licenses. The smallest showing for that month was made in 1918, when only 66 licenses were granted. The total nnmber issued since the marriage license law want in to eftect in Blair county is 29,057. Ante Licenses Hot Te Bs Extended With the 1922 automobile licenses being issued by the State Highway Department there bas beeu discussed the question of continuing tbe*1921 licenses for fifteen days after the end of the present year and many seem to think it will uot be done. It is pointed out that witb the licenses ready two months ahead of the expiration of tbe old tags, the highway department may eliminate the days of grace after tbe new year. Heretofore the demand for licenses has been so great that the department allowed the old ones to be used from fifteen to forty five days after tbeir expiration. That was because 'the department could not handle tbe rush, but now, it is said, sufficient tags are on band to supply the demand and many espect a .shut-down on the 1921 tags when the new year arrives. —The season for the killing of all kinds ot small game, with tbe exception of rabbits, closed yes ter day. Tbe season for rabbits is extended until Dec. 15. —'Tuesday evening at the home of W. Howard Moore and wife tbe executive committee of the seventh district ol Sunday schools, comprising thirteen in number, held a conference and transacted business. The Olivet Baptist Sunday school resignation from tbe organized district was accepted. In January there will be a teen age convention held in the Brethren church throughout one Sunday atternoon. Mrs. W. Howard Moore was elected vice president. Rev. Morgan, <pastor of tha Tyrone Lutheran cburch, was present and gave an interesting talk. American Bdaealloa Week In accord with the request of the National Educational Association and the American Legioo, Gov. Sproul, by proclamation has designated, tbe week ot Dec. 4 to 10 inclusive, as American Education Week. The purpose of tbis week is to inform tbe publio of the accomplishments and the needs of the public schools ann" to secure the co-operation and support ot tbe pdblic in meeting these needs.. Its observance will be nation-wide in scope. The borough schools will observe tbe week in some form or otber by paying particular attention to the history tbat is now ;j*x making in America and by a consideration ol the development of the public school system ot Pennsylvania. The groom has been one of Bel I wood's popular young men all his life and has a host ot friends who Join in wishing bim and bis bride a life *tull of much happiness. Mr. Ubil is a veteran of the World War, having sailed the high seas atier wbich be was employed as a machinist on ocean going vessels. Moffitt, the regular mail carrier on tbe north side, wbo has had an enforced vacation for the past two months due to illness, returned Saturday evening trom a visit of a week at tbe home of his daughter, Mrs. Max Evans at Blandburg. Samuel W. McCullougb, wife aud young daughter, of Cleveland, Ohio, spent the Thanksgiving season with Bellwood friends and were entertained in the home of Charles McFarland and wife, on South First street. They have mauy friends in Bellwood. Joseph F. Schmidt and wife ot South First .street spent the Thanksgiving reason with Jacob Meredith and family, at Golds- boro, Md. Mr Meredith was a resident of our town twenty years ago, but since has been engaged in farming in Marylrnd. He will retire from this pursuit in the spring and move to a near by town where he will enjoy tbe fruits of bis labors. —Trainmen on the Bellwood section of the Cresson division report that the ground in some places north of tbe mountain is covered with six inches of snow. —The incessant raiu from early Saturday morning until late Monday evening caused tbe streams in this vicinity to go on the rampage and in many plac es overflowed the banks. The heavy rain also resulted in flooding many cellars ot residences in town which required tbe servioes of the fireman to pump oat.

Ante Licenses Hot Te Bs Extended
With the 1922 automobile licenses being issued by the State
Highway Department there bas
beeu discussed the question of continuing tbe*1921 licenses for fifteen days after the end of the
present year and many seem to
think it will uot be done.
It is pointed out that witb the
licenses ready two months ahead
of the expiration of tbe old tags,
the highway department may
eliminate the days of grace after
tbe new year. Heretofore the demand for licenses has been so
great that the department allowed
the old ones to be used from fifteen to forty five days after tbeir
expiration.
That was because 'the department could not handle tbe rush,
but now, it is said, sufficient tags
are on band to supply the demand
and many espect a .shut-down on
the 1921 tags when the new year
arrives.
—The season for the killing of
all kinds ot small game, with tbe
exception of rabbits, closed yes ter
day. Tbe season for rabbits is
extended until Dec. 15.
—'Tuesday evening at the home
of W. Howard Moore and wife
tbe executive committee of the
seventh district ol Sunday schools,
comprising thirteen in number,
held a conference and transacted
business. The Olivet Baptist
Sunday school resignation from
tbe organized district was accepted. In January there will be a
teen age convention held in the
Brethren church throughout one
Sunday atternoon. Mrs. W.
Howard Moore was elected vice
