Fleisber, chaitman of the water committee, reported number of repairs made to the line, that taps had been made on East Fifth street and Camp sell's lane where the proposed street impro vement it to be made.. It was also reported tbat a building for the chlprioation . plant at the borough intake would be.1 necessary, that it should be built ot concrete blocks at least 12x12x14 feet, and will likely be started ia a few. day s. There was only one bid presented for paving East Filth street aud Campbell's lane and tbat-was received from Lynn A. Bros, Jr., os Hollidaysburg, and his price was $8, 094.20. After deliberating council decided that it would be cheaper for the borough to proceed with tbe work on its own account, and therefore the necessary equipment will be assembled, materiel - ordered and the road building started as soon as possible. By doing the work the boroogb authorities hope te be able to save at least one thousand dollars to the taxpayers. R- H- Hireeb, chairman ot tbe ordinance commitene, presented two petition* for ordinances, one covering curbing and guttering, end the other authorising tha bonding ottbs borougb in the sum of fifty thousand dollars to be applied on part of tbe coat of a sewerage system for the borougb. The committee reported favoably on both petitions and on motion was eeeepted. On motion of R. H. Hirsch, seconded by B. 43. Lego, the petition for a curb and gutter ordniance passed first reading. The proposed bill requires that carb end a two foot gutter ef conorete be established throughout the borougb, a certain portion to be paid by tha property own- em, me other by tbe borough. Tbe second triennial farm census in Pennsylvania is now under way in Aileghaney and Blair counties and in several first class townships in the sou thorn part of the Commonwealth. The first triennial census was taken in tba State in 1924, in accordance with an Aot' of the 1924, General Assembly. Tbe second triennial farm census in Pennsylvania is now under way in Aileghaney and Blair counties and in several first class townships in the sou thorn part of the Commonwealth. The census takers w ill be busy ia practcially all tbe counties by September, according to L. H. Wible director Bureau of Statistics, Penna. Department of Agriculture. The first triennial census was taken in tba State in 1924, in accordance with an Aot' of the 1924, General Assembly.
