Fooaa on Mala street Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock to determine tbe cause of the death of William Carroll, who collided with toe automobile being driven by Ansbury Steele ot Bellwood R. D. 1, Thursday night of laat week. Three witnesses were heare— Policeman F. B. Hetrick, Jesse Raogh aod H. W. Schalles. Irwin boilding for its aaa, ars aow arriving aad yesterday aad today tracks have beea busy hauling them to the location oa the corner ot South Cambria aad Tuckahoe streets. Tba door of the vauit la a large piece, weighing twelve tons sad it waa necessary to shift the oar containing tha same onto tha siding st Tipton, where it was loaded into trucks and brought to Bellwood. It wss necessary to unload at Tipton, due to the tact that the Cambria street overhead bridge ta tbis boroagh wsa not' deemed strong enough to carry tha weight ef the vault door aad the track apon whioh it waa loaded, the bridge having a carryiog capacity of oaly eight' tona. A force of men are at work assembling the parte and plao- ing them io position and th arill require several days. William Carroll, Lloyd McCloskey aad Willard Edmiston had beea attracted to the top of tbe Cambria atreet bridge hill doe to a fire on the north aide, and after tbeir childish curiosity had been satisfied, all got tn a coaster wagon aad came down the hill. At tbe foot ot the bill tbe tbe little wagon came io eonteet with ao automobile and a a result the Carroll lad received injuries that resulted ta bis death at the Mercy hospital three hours later. At the time the automobile wbb being driven by Asbury Steele, of Bellwood R. D. 1, and waa moving at a slow rata of speed, aod as the boya came down bill the little wagon ran directly ia front of the automobile and tha collision followed. It is thought tbat yoang Carroll waa knocked ftom tbe wagom from the impact and falling heavily to tbe brick pavement sustained a fractured skull. It is thought that the other two boya Basing tbe danger leaped from tbe wagon and thaa escaped without eveo a scratch. The driver of tbe automobile stopped the ear withio e remarkably short space, conveyed him to the office of Br, T. L. Wilaon, where, assisted by Dr: F. B. Forrest, made a preliminary examination of hia injuries, attar which he was rushed to the Meroy hospital la Altoona, where he dted at 11.80 o'clock tbe same nigbt Tbe. unfortunate boy waa a soa of John Carroll and wife of Booth Second atreet and area aged 18 yeara. He waa especially popular lad among his playmates and hia untimely end haa east a gloom over them. He waa aa attendant at the Bellwood public schools and waa malting rapid advancement in his studies. He is survived by bis parents and four brothers, John, Harry, Paul and Robert. The funeral occurred from hia late home Sanday afternoon at 2.80, the officiating clergyman being Rev. H. G. Dooley, pastor of the Logan Valley Baptist cburcb, the deceased having been a member of the Sunday aohool, wbo apoke teeling of hta mauly virtues. Despite tbe inclement weather many triends were present at the obsequies. Interment was made in Logan Valley cemetery. William Carroll, Lloyd McCloskey aad Willard Edmiston had beea attracted to the top of tbe Cambria atreet bridge hill doe to a fire on the north aide, and after tbeir childish curiosity had been satisfied, all got tn a coaster wagon aad came down the hill. At tbe foot ot the bill tbe tbe little wagon came io eonteet with ao automobile and a a result the Carroll lad received injuries that resulted ta bis death at the Mercy hospital three hours later. At the time the automobile wbb being driven by Asbury Steele, of Bellwood R. D. 1, and waa moving at a slow rata of speed, aod as the boya came down bill the little wagon ran directly ia front of the automobile and tha collision followed. It is thought tbat yoang Carroll waa knocked ftom tbe wagom from the impact and falling heavily to tbe brick pavement sustained a fractured skull.
