IN TIE WITH PEN ARGYL Uh Lads Eofage in lt-12 Deadlack After ayhUI Battle Vic Weiss, young quarterback on the Nazareth High School eleven, pulled a fast one Saturday aftemoon on the Nazareth High School fleld, when the score was 12-6 favoring Pen Argyl High school, by calling a fake ofT-tackle play and immediate¬ ly trowing a forward pass to Yeakel, who dashed thirty jrards for the touchdown tying up thc More 12-11 AltemoM's attiiiaa iwiiming the line for the point after touchdown failed and the continued efforts of the Pen Argylltes in the last few moments of play to forward pass ad¬ ditional scoring was of no avail. The fans who witnessed the game, numbering upwards of a thousand, declared the interscholastic clash the finest for many a day. The Leh pro¬ teges entered the fray the underdog. Both teams fumbledplenty the flrst quarter, with the breaks about even. Nazareth was shouting with delight when Altemose, a line-smashing full¬ back, scord the first touchdown in the flrst quarter by continuously bucking the line. Shortly after that. Buzzard, the visiting fullback crash¬ ed through the line to rscover a fumble beyond the goal line, and tied the .score. In the last period enthusiasm was running high as Piper Scored the .second touchdown, after Buzzard, Piper, Laub and Martin rushed the ball yard bv yard up the fleld, Kratz, Nazareth center, broke through the line of scrimmage to block Hamil¬ ton s attempted kick for point after touchdown. This feat, in all probability stav¬ ed Uic tide and made po.ssible Naz¬ areth's tie-up. All members of both teams worked hard and well and few substitutions were made during the game, 'yeakel's gains the last few moments of play after his touch¬ down were scored and his intercep¬ tion of a Pen Argyl forward pass smoothed the turmoil as the game ended.
