The affair was planned several weeks ago and everything was In letidi- ness for the event when the weath¬ erman took a hand and almost ruined things. Efforts by the or¬ ganizers to have the affair post¬ poned until Monday afternoon but it was found Impossible to make arrangements with the numerous district schools that would have been satisfactory so that Reuben Itohr, druggist, and chairman of the committee of arrangements an¬ nounced at 2 o'clock that the hunt would be held Several truck loads of dry .^iruw were sprinkled on Main street lie¬ tween the tracks of the old I'enn Allen electric line and In this 1080 ninety dozen colored eggs were hidden. Fifty one of Ihe ««¦• were numbered and entitled the finders to one of the prizes. Kach child was permitted to hold only one numbered ege and had to leave the hunt ns soon as ho had found one The youngsters had all gathored early and by two o'clock fully six hundred were millinp alioiit on the sidewalks waiting to begin. The church choir aaalated in the work by taking parts in tbe musical numbers. The auditor¬ ium was fllled with an appreciative audience. At 10:30 o'clock the main ser¬ vice opened and ended with a Holy Communion service. Rev. H. C. Snyder delivered a forcible sermon on the them "An Easter Message." The choir rendered the antbem — "Glory Cro«ns the Victor's Brow," This service was attended by an over flowing crowd ot worshippers.
