She waa the daughter of Joseph Horner, born 1790, died 1860, and Margaret (Wilson) Horner, born 180» aad died 1887, and granddaughter of the flrst Joseph Horner 1740-1835 and Sarah Allison Horner who died In 1820. Her grandfather was an immigrant ancestor. Miss Horner lived all of her life in the lovely Homer homestead near Bath, being born in that home. Her father was treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the Old Allen Township Presbyterian church In 1845 and was re-elected for 21 years to the time of hia death in 1866. Miss Horner, like her mother Margaret, led the rich inheritance of -a name honored alike in the Presbyterian cbijrch and the community. They looked out and found that an automobile had left the highway at the curve and crashed Into their houses. Three p<>rsous were in the machine which was badly w recked und all o( them were hurt but none seriously. The car waa driven by Pred Wentz. of Bethlehem, and he was accompanied by John Oswald and John Willinger. The place where they left the highway is on a curve and according to residents o(' the vicinity of the crash they were going al a high rate o( speed. The muchine was a total wreck and the houses were damaged con¬ siderably.
