Rpid Large Congregation Gathered In Local Parishes During Passion Week; Record Attendances at Communion Services; New Members Add¬ ed; Easter Program Rendered The services at the St. John's Re¬ formed church on Easter morning featured the sacraments administer¬ ed by Rev. W. H. Wotring. paator. Those partaking of Communion brought tbe total to 750, a barmer number for the congregation. The attendance for the day was one of the largest ever recorded at all services. In the evening the Sunday scbool rendered the program under direction of Oliver Knausa, superintendent. The Beginners sang several songs under leadership of Miss Irene Roth, superintendent; the Primary department under di- rectloaof Mrs. Willlam Silfles and the Junion under direction of Miss Anna Kraemer also lendaced several songs and selectioai. MUi Henrietta Werner and Miss Heyer sang a duet. The church presented a most beauttttU and inspiring aspect on Simday morning following the efforts of the decorators who had w^orked out a beautiful flower gar¬ den scene with tratlis and lattice work against a background with doud effect, and the croas for a center piece. The idea was worked out under direction of Mre. William Silfles, by the program committee, consisting of Miss Helen Smith, Miss Orace Remaley, Miss Ellen Ruioff, Miss Mae Wunderly and Miss Lena Marcks. Miss Marcks had charge of the music for the Sunday school and the Sunday school orchestra. The service was reported one of the best Easter services ever held at the church. In addition to the class of 36 catechumens confirmed last Sunday, who took communion for the first time today, there were also fortv-seven new members re¬ ceived into the church by Rev. The cantata is made up of inter¬ esting solos and choruses telling the Easter story. It also contains the beautiful number "Easter Dawn" a solo for the vtoUn which will be played by Thomas Achenbach, of Easton. who is well known as a con¬ cert violinist. Rpid Large Congregation Gathered In Local Parishes During Passion Week; Record Attendances at Communion Services; New Members Add¬ ed; Easter Program Rendered The services at the St. John's Re¬ formed church on Easter morning featured the sacraments administer¬ ed by Rev. W. H. Wotring. paator. Those partaking of Communion brought tbe total to 750, a barmer number for the congregation. The attendance for the day was one of the largest ever recorded at all services. In the evening the Sunday scbool rendered the program under direction of Oliver Knausa, superintendent. The Beginners sang several songs under leadership of Miss Irene Roth, superintendent; the Primary department under di- rectloaof Mrs. Willlam Silfles and the Junion under direction of Miss Anna Kraemer also lendaced several songs and selectioai. MUi Henrietta Werner and Miss Heyer sang a duet. The church presented a most beauttttU and inspiring aspect on Simday morning following the efforts of the decorators who had w^orked out a beautiful flower gar¬ den scene with tratlis and lattice work against a background with doud effect, and the croas for a center piece. The idea was worked out under direction of Mre. William Silfles, by the program committee, consisting of Miss Helen Smith, Miss Orace Remaley, Miss Ellen Ruioff, Miss Mae Wunderly and Miss Lena Marcks. Miss Marcks had charge of the music for the Sunday school and the Sunday school orchestra. The service was reported one of the best Easter services ever held at the church. In addition to the class of 36 catechumens confirmed last Sunday, who took communion for the first time today, there were also fortv-seven new members re¬ ceived into the church by Rev.
