THURSDAY MORNING, JANUARY 10. 1924. Nc. 7 AN INDEPENDENT FAMILY NEWSPAPER, DEVOTED TO LITERATURE, LOCAL AND GENERAL INTELLIGENCE Salesmanship Club Of! With a Rush; First Cuunt to he Announced Saturday Race for $1530 Studebaker and Other Rich Awards Is On In Real Ernest With Interest Growing Rapidly FAIR COMPANY OFFICERS ELECTFD Members Cast Ballot That Upset Dope, Making Big Chance in Executive Com. They are off! The Nazareth Item's $3,000.00 "Salesmanship Cluh" and Greater Circulation Campaign shifted into "high" shortly after the issue con¬ taining the opening announcement was placed in suhscribers' mail hox- es, and from this time to the finish will be a race every minute of the way. ,-Vlmost since the opening hour it has been the chief topic of conversa¬ tion wherever people congregate in Northampton counly and the towns and country surrounding. But, why not? Beyond all doubt this "Salesman¬ ship Club" Campaign is the most lib¬ eral proposition ever made to men and women who are willing to really do something witli their spare time. You simply can't l..t3, for every active worker will receive either one of the awards or a cash commission check. Neither will fall your way. however, hut just a little well direct¬ ed effort will pull one or the other your way—which one and the size and value depending altogether on what amount of determination you bring Into play. Not Too I.nte to EntPi'. The first week in any campaign is devoted pretty largely to organiza¬ tion work, nnd this Campaign is no exception. New club members will be hurling their hats into the rin.g for ae'veral days yet. It is a very simple matter to get started. Reach fnr vour ^If nhoti^-^^ your rela- "ftves. rrlenas'al^d ac(in.tintances "youT are going to win that lovely Stude¬ baker Light Six ."i-Passenger Coupe, and will call for iheir subscriptions very shortly. Oet them lined up be¬ fore someone else does so. Rush in your entry coupon, then your "first subscription coupon," and you will be off with a start of 17,000 or more. You want one of the big awards? All right. Within you lies the power to gain one. All you need do is make up your mind to w in one, and you are on your way. People who tell you you cannot win are merely discredit¬ ing your ability. Prove to tliem you are as good a hustler as you think yon are. and worthy nf their support and encouragement. Remember this. .Someone with no more ability—no more friends—no more personality—than you possess is going to win that Studebaker Light Six 5-Passenger Coupe, and each of •he other rich awards. Why not you? If this proposition required the out¬ lay ot a large sum of money, or spe¬ cial training and education, you might truthfully say you faced an Impossibility, Nothing hut the will to win and a little spare time, backed hy some pep and determina¬ tion, is required. Surely everyone should meet those requirements. In the announcement to be found elsewhere are the names of those who have entered the club up to Wednesday noon. There Is room tor all who choose to enter, no matter how many that may he. The names in today's announcement, it should he noted, are arranged In alphabeti¬ cal order and the entry credits only are shown. Some have already se¬ cured a few_^su_h^crij)tion>w:^T;jij Tnit in no instance has anyone gained start enough to amount to anything. First Count. H.iiurdiiy.
