( Editorial j With this issue the 'Item' celebrates its thirtieth birthday anniversary. It is a long journey from those doubtfu! [leginnings to our strong position,in a large field The paper is better manned and better equipped today than at any time tluring the three decades of its existence. In the transaction of its business and in the mechanical production of the 'Item' it has besides the newspaper equipment, a modern typesetting machine and a complete jobbing outfit at its disposal. The wonderful workings of the Hnotype machine are almost I'.uman in precision, while in speed it is as fast as five men. The presses are of the best, and make it possible to print so mgny copies of your favorite newspaper in good time. There is only one goal toward which the 'Item' is striving and that is to make Nazareth and its environs a busy place and a good place to live in. You have already grasped our plans for the future. We are willing to do our full share of hard work to give you an ever better paper. But we expect ^he help of every loyal citizen. We want them to read and appreciate our local paper. And we want them to sneak well of it. With the 'weople's help, we entertain no fear of failure in attaining, tho goal of becoming a paper that Nazareth will be proud of. Help us in the campaign we are now engaged in. By working together we will be able to do much for the district we cover, both in the moral uplift, and in the pecuniary uplift of all our people. The 'Item' will serve you well. EDUCATIONAL SUNDAY, DEC, 5 Sund; y. IipeciuinT .'.'h, is A<i.-M{, iKiled by Uf.
