Young MotherBorns ToJ)eath Brother Rescues Baby From Rarinc Flames Mrs. Lottie Hawk, U-year*oId mother and wife of Paul Hawk, re¬ siding along the blacktop road lead¬ ing from Clearfield to Wind Oap. was burned to death Tuesday af¬ ternoon at about five o'clock when fire destroyed their home. The cause of the blaze is unknown as only she and a 15-month-old daughter were in the home at the time. The flames were discovered by Mrs. Hawk's brother, Clark Mackes. a WI'A worker upon returning from work. Although the entire one-story structure was tn flames when dis¬ covered. Mr. Mackes rushed to the door of the dwelling, opened it and found his sister on the floor In flames He pulled her body outside. but she was dead when taken from the blase.
