Our purpose has been accomplished. Yesterday at 1:00 o'clock this contest came to an exciting close, when the contestants dropped their last ooupons and ITBM receipts in the ballot box tor the flnal count by the judges. This popular baby conte.st, so successfully conducted by M. L. Merritt & Associates of Trenton, N. J. has been fair and square in every re.:pect The practice of good business principles, void of hlgh- pressure-salesmaiuhip, resulted in clean transactions with all par¬ ties concerned; interesting to the public, exciting to contestants and stimulating to the business hou.ses who participated. Although the tiny tots in whose interest the ITEM and local business men sponsored the campaign, may know little or nothing about their early business venture now, wlU In their matured life appreciate what their parents have done in registering their names together with photos, in the bu.<iness world The name and photo of every boy and girl entered in the contest has now become a per¬ manent record that can never be erased from the flies of history, be¬ coming more valuable in memory as time marches on. Because of the interest taken by citizens and businessmen alike, the ITEM, in behalf of .ill the contestants, wishes to thank each and every one for their kind support, effort and co-operation throughout the contest. -THE EDITOR What Industrial Migration? firentlni? niembiT.^ of thf I'enn- ¦ vivania Mtate Cha:iit>«r nt i ¦oiutiipro.; a^'.^einbllntr for thi^r t v. cnty-rirst an¬ nua!
