NEW EDITOR OF PRESS Director Samuel Feese Has Musi ciana Well Trained On Monday evening the crack Her-shey Band rendered an excellent con-cert in the band stand, and . did it to the satisfaction of the many : Her-sheyites present. . This was the opening concert of the season and all the numbers, were well selected and rendered, each musi-cian being capable of playing his in-strument alone and with the entire band in such a way as to render a most pleasing eff ect in the music played and the modulations were well executed. Leader Samuel Feese had excellent control of his band. Each evening from seven to eight the Hershey Band will render a con-cert, up to and including Labor Day. These concerts, from all indications, will be splendid, and every one will be well worth while your hearing. Beginning Sunday afternoon, June 23, there will be sacred concerts from three to five o'clock. These concerts will be appropriate and edifying. Not every town can boast of such an efficient band and they deserve to have very large crowds at everyone of their concerts. Come out and help them give us the best renditions of both classic and popular music by en-couraging them with your presence and hearty applause. EXCELLENT BAND CONCERT Editor of "Woman's Page" of the Williamsport "Gazette and " Bulletin" The people who have lived here for the past nine or ten years, who have watched the growth of the peaceful hillside farms to. the present flourish-ing village, cannot realize just how much the word "Hershey" means to the rest of the world. Few places are as popularly known as Hershey, for any man acquainted with current events of the past quarter-century can give the history of the foundation and growth of this unusual little town. Being familiar with the history and work of Hershey, and seeing the place itself are two different situations. The impressions carried away by transient guests are widely different from those of people whose opinions can be governed only by "hearsay." Perhaps these impressions will not coincide with those of the Hershey people, for they are gained from an-other standpoint. (Contined on Page 16) HERSHEY AS SEEN BY HELEN HOYT
