' • Simon J. Eby spent Sunday with relatives at Lancaster. : Miss Viola Moyer, of Bisbee, Arizona is spending her vacation with her parents, J. H. Moyer and family, at Derry Church. She has been engaged in teaching in that state and this is her first visit to Hershey in two years. . Jacob Herst, wife and daughter, Mary, of Abiline, Kansas, are visiting relatives: in this vicinity at present. The latter is a missionary of the German Baptist denomination; located at Chi-cago, but later will sail for Africa. . ' Mr. F. C. Snavely visited his parents, Mr. ar d Mrs. P. B. (Continued'on page 16) '"JIN order that the celebration of the Fourth of July may not be disturbed by unlawful, ^J| reckless and dangerous practices, notice is hereby given that directions have been! issued to police department of Hershey, Derry Church, Swatara, Union Deposit, Campbell-town, Hockersville, Sand Beach, Coffeetown, Hummelstowri, and other places on the map, to see that things are "run rite." The reckless manner of celebrating the Fourth of July has become a serious proposition, and we would suggest that thef people celebrate it in a manner consistent with our policy, which is, that instead of spending, your loose change on fireworks, arid other explosives (liquid and powder), which are liable to blow up at any moment, we would suggest that you taboo this mariner of celebrating, anc with the money thus saved spend the day at Hershey Park, where you will get your money s worth and more besides, and where you will become known of the fact that the "world shure do mobe." ' • Orders have been issued to all persons having authority to see that this action is carried but, and we would earnestly request that the citizens lend their co-operation toward this end, in other words, if the people are seen going elsewhere than to Hershey Park on the Fourth it shall be their duty to inform them of the error of their ways and to steer them toward the park; and in this manner the good will and properity of the community may not be disturbed.
