MACDONALD, ; I •»J - the.new pastor of the Derry E¦A3 ^Presbyterian Ghufchj comes to ' ¦ r '>'<»- Hershey with a splendid record of past attainments. Rev.- Mr. Mac- ! Donald was graduated from Knox Coir i lege and Toronto University,1 Toronto, ,' Ontario. Later he came to. the States i and completed a postgraduate course in McGorrnick Seminary, Chicago. He has served the fpll^gyingchurches: Third Presbyterian Church, St. Joseph, Mo. ; Effirighamf-Ilh'; Hqutzdale, Pa. ; and the Fourth Church of Camden, N. J. ; Mr. MacDonald was/ called to this :|jjchurch from Camden; In each of > the //Jffihurches which he has . served there were large addition's in every, depart- : merit of the work during his pastorate. He /comes here highly recommended - from • the churches he most .recently : served. Mr. and Mrs. MacDonald haye moved into the house vacated by Rev. and Mrs. Segelken. They have one son who is employed in Chicago. There is every prospect that under the present efficie nt leadership the work of the church will continue to broaden and deepen. Gun Club Organization First Shoot Tomorrow Afte rnoon rSjjjj lEVERAL persons interested in j i^j l the organization of a gun club |B4I | have already taken steps in that direction. On "Saturday afternoon, all persons who care for this sport are asked to be present at the In-dustrial School, leaving here on the 2.25 Campbelltown car. The possibility of the organization of a gun club will be discussed and if there is sufficient in-terest, the organization will be made. A trap and a goodly supply of pigeons are already on hand and a good time is promised to all. . Come and bring your gun. • •-' gSEjJY order of the acting president I !4| of the Young Women's Organ- Smfl ization, a meeting .will be held on Monday evening, February 6, in the lobby of the Hershey Inn for the purpose of organizing a Young Wo-men's Christian Association in Hershey. Those who have given their names will be notified by postal but all persons interested are cordially invited to be present. Miss Mary Jones, of Philadelphia, field secretary, will be present at, this meeting, also Mrs. M. C. Jones, ' of Harrisburg. Thus far 60 persons have • enrolled. The field for this work is large and an organization of this kind will be welcomed by the young wonien-of Hershey and vicinity. H EW finer specimens of the American Black Bear can be found in the country that the . 1 • one represented in the ac- He spends his time in sleep save as he is disturbed thrice daily to receive his morning and evening loaf and his mid-day meat. On cold, days he refuses even to rise, but stretching out his neck grasps the food , eats it and returns to dreamland. He was born in captivity and is very tame. He will be five years old this Spring. His trainer, Frank Zinner, and he are on very intimate terms and whether the bear speaks companying cut. "Bob" and his mate were added to the Hershey "Zoo" last 'May. The mate died on May 22 and since that time "Bob " has dwelt alone in silent sorrow. It is hoped that another mate can be found for him this season. His weight is 375. A blacker, glossier coat than his could not be imagined. Dutch or Frantz speaks the bear lan-guage we can not say. At any rate, they understand each other. The bear will shake hands, stand up and walk on two feet, kiss his trainer and perform many other interesting feats. "Bob" and His Trainer Frantz Zinner
