Hershey stopped in the renovated Visitors Department for open house; explained the workings of the animated charts to -,ra• Pair of students from Chambers Hill over in Swatara Township: Joseph L., age 10, a 5th grader; Betty Ann, age 7, a second grader; joined more than 750 others on the special open house visitors tour of the plant, ate cookies and drank cocoa milk provided by the pretty guides. Several Changes Proposed In New Traffic Ordinance Updating their handling of traf-fic, Deny Township Supervisors have placed several significant changes in the proposed Traffic Ordiance, which will supersede the Traffic Ordinance passed July 9, 1956, and several times amended. •Then, too; highways ef the town-ship will be named, thus effecting dispatch in the efforts of the Her-shey Volunteer Fire Company, the handling of volume traffic, etc. restrie ons, according t efferson C: Barnhart, Esq., Derry Township Solicitor, are along Chocolate Ave-nue. By eliminating parking on the North side of East Chocolate Ave-nue from the Homestead Road traf-fic light to Ceylon Aver.ue inter-section, movement of traffic up-grade will be eased. In cooperation with the Depart-ment of Highways, a traffic lane for slower moving vehicles, such as trucks, will be provided on the North side of the highway; faster Aiesas Camping Association Plans A Swatara Creek Campsite Plans are being formulated to provide a campsite, in cooperation with the Hershey Estates, by the Hershey Camping Association, an affiliate of the Hershey Girl Scoot' Neighborhood Association. Meeting in the Women's Club the Association's members heard a report of the committee,.Pro.Pos-ing a campsite along the Swatara Creek. Purpose of the Camping Associa-tion is to sponsor the Hershey Girl Scouts and provide ways and means of maintaining a campsite for the use of all scouts in Derry Township. Camping Association Officers: Mrs. Earl Brown, President; Mrs. Lester Abel, Vice President; Mrs. Aldo Modesto, Secretary; Mrs. C. Kline Kuntz, Treasurer. Campsite Committee members: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fischer; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Abel; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Brown; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hess. ALTHOUGH they have several thousand colored slides in their col-lection, nonetheless Mr. and Mrs. Bruce L. Burtner, 239 Cedar Avenue, Neel there are photographic fields to conquer; visited Ray-mond F. Evans (right), Director of the Evening School in the M. S. Hershey Jr.-Sr. High School cafeteria — as did sonic 350 others — for first night registration for 34 courses ranging from photography through the Pennsylvania Dutch Dialect class. Toying traffic will utilize the in-side lane. Week Proclaimed To Preserve Our Covered Bridges FIRE HYDRANTS Hershey Water Co. will flush fire hydrants during the weeks of Oc-tober 2 and 9, between the hours of 10:00 p m and 6.00 a m. Pennsylvania is t h e covered bridge capital of the world. Septem-ber 30 to October 8 has been pro-claimed "See Pennsylvania's Cov-ered Bridges Week" by Governor David L. Of concrete block construction, wall behind Elmi will be finished in van -colored tile. Main patron service lobby floor is at green terrain, with the interior floor hard wood finished similar to the M. S. Hershey Foundation Gym-nasium.
