Placed in service for the Christmas Turkey distribution; the new entrance is hailed by employees desiring to enter the plant from the expanded East Parking facilities. 60th Wedding Anniversary Observed By Local Couple A 60th Wedding Anniversary will be observed by retired Hershey Chocolate ,Corporation employee Egisto and Mrs. Menicheschi, 212 W. Chocolate Ave., on Jan. 28th. Married in Italy when he was 18 and she 16, Mr. and Mrs. Meni-cheschi came to this country in 1901. He worked at the Corporation from Oct. 21, 1912 to Oct. 1, 1947. Children are Helen (Mcs. Emolo Cappelli), 119W. Granada Ave. Elide (Mrs. Danta Landucci), 442 W. Caracas Ave. Edith (Mrs. Renato Pallini), Bal-timore, Md. Miss Elda Menicheschi, at home, and an employee in the general offices of the Hershey Estates. Edward Menicheschi, 214 W. Chocolate Ave. • • Grandchildren include Elaine Cappelli, a third grade teacher in Baltimore County, Maryland; and Richard Cappelli, a fifth grade teacher at Cumberland Valley School, Sporting Hill, Pa: Others are Thomas and Fred Landucci; and David, Leborah, Ann Marie, Edward and James Meni-cheschi. JOHN S. BAUM Cashier of The Hershey Na-tional Bank, John S. Baum has been elected President of the Dauphin County Bankers Asso-ciation. Affiliated with the local Hank since 1935, Mr. Baum served as Assistant Cashier from 1947 to 1959 When he -assumed his pres-ent position. With the County organization, he served on the Council of Ad-ministration in 1958, was Secre- . tary-treasurer in 1659, and Vice President in 1960. Hershey Banking Officers Hold Their Annual Meeting At its annual reorganizational meeting, officers and directors of the Hershey National Bank and Trust Company were continued in office. Serving as President of the Na-tional Bank is John B. Sollenberg-er; Vice President, Arthur R. Whiteman; Cashier, John S. Baum; ASsiSant Cashier, B• man. ' ' • Directors include Jefferson C. Barnhart, George W. Bartels, John' S. Baum, Harold W. Hershey, Sam-uel F. Hinkle, John B. Sollenberger, II. M. Spangler, C. J. Speicher, Arthur R. Whiteman, John R. Zoll. Mr. Sollenberger also serves as President of the Trust Company. Whiteman is Vice President and Secretary and Trust Officer. Joseph S. Gumpher is Treasurer and As-sistant Secretary and Assistant Trust Officer. John T. Shuey is Assistant Treasurer and Assistant Secretary. Directors include T. R. Banks, J. E. Bobb, Gumpher, Hinkle, Sol-lenberger, and Whiteman. James E. •Bobb continues as Chairman of the Board of Man-agers of the Milton Hershey School and the M. S. Hershey Founda-tion. "GARDEN MAGIC" Hershey Estates Chief Horti-culturist, John P. Meszaros will be on WGAL-TV, Channel 8, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The weekly series, titled "Garden Magic" for Home and Farm, starts Saturday, Feb. 4th. Last year Meszaros handled a similar show for some 26 weeks over WLYH•TV, Channel 15. DUTCH DAYS 13th Annual Pennsylvania Dutch Days in Hershey Park will be observed August 23 through 27 this year. Sixty-five members of the Dutch Days committee attended -a dinner meeting a week ago; heard Chairman Carl Swarr out-line plans for a five-day observa-tion. COMMUNITY Service Night by Hershey Lions Club honored veteran teachers of the Derry Township Public School District who have served in their professions thirty or more years: Robert- W. Young 000; Assistant Principal of the M. S. Hershey Jr.-Sr. High School, Rufus K. Eby, who also was the recipient of the Award of Merit for 1960 as the outstanding citizen of the year; Miss Miriam I. Snyder, A. 0. Brittain, Miss Ruth F. Hoffer, Miss Treva E. Dise, Miss Margaret J. Ward, Miss Ethel Stauffer. Prize-Winning Photos On Display Al MHS Library On display in the Milton Hershey School Library through Saturday are forty-eight prize-winning photo-graphs from the 14th annual Kodak High School Photo Contest. • In addition to the salon of prize winners, a group of seven special mounts are included This display — pictures and text —portrays the life of a student photographer who attends a tack-nical institute that features photo-graphy, and should be of interest to students and adults alike. The contest, to encourage the photographic talents of young peo-ple, is sponsored annually by East-man Kodak Company. It is generally acknowledged 0 be the leading teen-age photo con-test.
