| Description | #[?] Saturday noon 2 Dec. 1944 My darling- No mail again today for anybody - only one big delivery of airmail (such as formerly came every 2 or 3 days) in the past 2 weeks. Our mail clock says that mail coming this way gets held up at Hawaii awaiting air transportation to here, and that because of Christmas things will probably get worse for awhile. But the situation should get straightened out after the holidays! The place where your mail gets held up in the process of distribution is San Francisco. I think you had better complete and forward the enclosed letter to Doug before I forget it altogether! He has been receiving copies of my last 2 or 3 typed letters, as has Henry; last time I sent a copy to Grandfather also. From now on I think I'll send them to mother and Father Doug, Henry, Muz and you; Gf can get his thru Muz, whom I asked to forward them to him. As soon as I can get some wrappings - today or tomorrow - I'll send you (probably by first class rather than airmail) a couple of little things made out here which I was just able to buy. One will be for Gladys Johnston; as I have us wrappings as are here will you wrap it for me? I'll send a note to go with it. I hope the stationery you sent arrives soon - I don't like this nearly as well.
