Ping Ting Hsien, Shansi, China Jan. 17, 1915 Dear Mother, Have written a general letter to send by way of Jennie but have some other matters to send to you. Wonder if Father will be with Jennie when this reaches you. Got several letters this week from you home folks, a big one from you and then from Elmer, Jennie and Ida. The checks from Father came alright and the statement about the money matters. Thanks for them. I am just now sending an order to Montgomery Ward. Heard from them and they say they shipping alright now. So if you want to you can send the sewing machine. This will be a good time of the year to do it. I have looked in the catalogue at the machines. Wonder if you have a 1915 catalogue. I think the Damascus Machines are all the same in running gear, that the difference is the frame. For us here, three girls, I think the first one under Damascus would suite best. It has six drawers big size while most of the others have less. This also has a little drawer beside and some of the others do not. Then if you care to an extra set of bobbins would be very convenient, so each could have several. Am sure I will
