Dear Father and Mother, Mother�s letter this week tells that it is finally settled that Warrens will take the home in the fall. I am glad. She said you did not settle yet what you would do. I feel like saying some things that have long thot of. I am sure Father�s rheumatism is so much better in the west that it would be nice for you to live there. But there is another thing for several years. There is Howard and Robert both needing home yet. There are schools in the west it is true, but I believe the boys will have a much better standard of life and become more useful men if educated in the east. My reason is this. The west is not a place for toil and service, but for ease and comfort. There is such a prevalent spirit these of wanting to have a good time, pleasure seeking, or in other words, live for self and work enough to supply your pleasure. I believe in the east it is much easier for a young man to feel that he wants fill a place in life, be useful to mankind. You know more than I do then about the
